Frequently Asked Questions

What filling materials do you use?

We use high-quality composites (resin fillings) and ceramic inlays. Both materials are biocompatible, tooth-colored and very durable.

Are composite fillings durable?

Yes, modern composite fillings are very durable and can last many years with proper care. They are an excellent alternative to amalgam.

What is the difference between a filling and an inlay?

Fillings are molded directly in the mouth, while inlays are fabricated in a laboratory. Ceramic inlays are particularly stable and long-lasting, but also somewhat more involved.
